Course Curriculum
What to Expect:
Each of our 10 Term 1 Lessons On-Demand provide 35 minutes of active engagement for both you and your child to enjoy, learn from and share. Each week’s activities are specifically chosen and practised to teach you how to nurture aspects of your child’s development, such as language acquisition, speech development, auditory processing, motor skills, focusing and steady beat.
In Term 1:
You will both experiment with movement, instruments and sounds. Bouncing and movement activities will allow your child to feel a steady beat. Listening skills will be developed through instrumental stop and start activities and peekaboo games.
Songs will be introduced throughout the term to help your child recognise names of body parts, and props and puppets will be used to develop focusing skills. Together you will enjoy dances and musical games.
Your Teacher - Jennifer Smith
Jennifer Smith is co-owner of the Mini Maestros master franchise and is responsible for the ongoing development of the Mini Maestros music program. Jennifer is an experienced music educator, pianist and choral conductor. A qualified musician, she has had extensive experience teaching in the public and private school systems, as well as in rural and international schools. She has developed and implemented classroom music programs based on the Kodaly and Orff approaches, and taught piano to students of all ages. Over the years Jennifer has shared her love of music with thousands of students and inspired them to make music a part of their daily lives. Jennifer believes music positively impacts all areas of children's development. She is always delighted seeing how people of all ages can experience so much joy when they are actively engaged in musical experiences with others.
