What to Expect:
Each of our 10 Term 2 Lessons On-Demand provide 30 minutes of active engagement for both you and your baby to enjoy, learn from and share. Each week, you’ll engage in activities specifically designed to support your baby’s growth in areas such as language acquisition, speech development, auditory processing, motor skills, focusing and steady beat. You will learn the very best way to make the most of these interactions with your baby.
In Term 2:
Your baby will expand on the foundations set in Term 1. Now that your baby is used to the lessons your baby will be more confident and receptive. Peekaboo activities will help with babies' confidence as things disappear and reappear, and will introduce the babies to musical phrasing. Bouncing rhymes will reinforce a steady beat and simple songs will extend your baby’s language skills.
Your baby will continue experimenting with percussion instruments and practise how to play with the music in stop and start activities. As your baby becomes older and more confident your baby will begin imitating what you and the teacher are doing.
Your Teacher - Jennifer Smith
Jennifer Smith is co-owner of the Mini Maestros master franchise and is responsible for the ongoing development of the Mini Maestros music program. Jennifer is an experienced music educator, pianist and choral conductor. A qualified musician, she has had extensive experience teaching in the public and private school systems, as well as in rural and international schools. She has developed and implemented classroom music programs based on the Kodaly and Orff approaches, and taught piano to students of all ages. Over the years Jennifer has shared her love of music with thousands of students and inspired them to make music a part of their daily lives. Jennifer believes music positively impacts all areas of children's development. She is always delighted seeing how people of all ages can experience so much joy when they are actively engaged in musical experiences with others.
